TRAVEL

Your closest option is Del Bajío International Airport (BJX) in León, about 45 minutes from the city. There are nonstop flights from Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and other US hubs. If you need more options, Querétaro International Airport (QRO) is roughly 2 hours away and connects to several US cities. México City (MEX or AIFA) has the widest range of connections but adds a 4–5 hour drive or shuttle.

STAY

We're pulling together our favorite places to stay in Guanajuato and will have recommendations up soon. For now, look for hotels in the Zona Centro — walking distance to everything and the best way to experience the city.

QUESTIONS

What is the dress code?

Formal / Black Tie Optional. We invite you to dress elegantly for the occasion. One thing to keep in mind — the hacienda has cobblestone paths and outdoor areas, so we'd recommend opting for a heel or a shoe you're comfortable walking in.

What is the weather like in February?

February in Guanajuato is part of the dry season — expect warm, sunny days with temperatures in the mid-70s°F (low-to-mid 20s°C) and cooler evenings, often dipping into the low 50s°F (around 12°C). We recommend bringing a light wrap or jacket for the evening festivities.

Do I need a visa to enter México?

US and Canadian citizens do not require a visa to visit México and may stay up to 180 days as tourists. Citizens of other countries should consult their local Mexican consulate or embassy to confirm entry requirements well in advance of travel.
